Black Women & Health Assessment
Genetics + Lifestyle
Black women face unique health challenges that are often overlooked, minimized, or addressed only after symptoms have become severe.
Many struggle with chronic fatigue, weight gain, fibroids, insulin resistance, PCOS-related patterns, inflammation, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, high stress burdens, and metabolic dysfunction — yet are rarely taught how lifestyle, biology, genetics, and environmental stressors may all interact to influence how the body functions.
This comprehensive lifestyle-focused assessment was created to help Black women better understand the deeper patterns that may be contributing to dysfunction and why these patterns may appear more commonly within the Black community. This approach recognizes that genetics may influence susceptibility, but genetics are not destiny. Factors such as chronic stress exposure, nutrient deficiencies, blood sugar instability, ultra-processed food consumption, poor sleep, circadian disruption, environmental toxic burden, reduced movement, nervous system overload, and long-term inflammation may all influence how genes are expressed and how the body functions over time. Therefore, rather than focusing solely on symptoms, this assessment takes a whole-body, lifestyle-first approach to support the body’s foundational biological needs. This session focuses on areas that strongly influence hormonal, metabolic, digestive, and nervous system health, including: * Blood sugar regulation and metabolic health * Nourishment and nutrient density * Digestion and gut function * Hydration and mineral balance * Sleep and circadian rhythm * Stress regulation and nervous system balance * Inflammation and immune stress * Liver support and waste removal pathways * Movement, circulation, and energy production * Environmental and lifestyle stressors Together, we will explore how these areas may be influencing common health patterns seen in Black women, including: * fibroids * insulin resistance * obesity and weight struggles * metabolic dysfunction * chronic fatigue * inflammation * hormone imbalances * digestive dysfunction * PCOS-related patterns * blood sugar instability * stress-related dysfunction patterns This is not a quick-fix or symptom-chasing approach. The goal is to help you better understand your body, reconnect with the biological foundations that support health, and create a more supportive internal environment for healing, regulation, energy production, and long-term wellness. Following the assessment, you will receive personalized lifestyle-focused recommendations designed to help you begin implementing realistic, biologically supportive habits into everyday life. You will also receive: * Access to self-paced educational videos that explain both the “what” and the “why” behind each recommendation * A Lifestyle Accountability Workbook * An Eat to Live Nutrition Guide * Access to my private Facebook support community for ongoing encouragement, education, and accountability Healing does not happen through perfection. It happens through consistent support, understanding, and learning to work with the body rather than against it. I invite you to complete the intake form below and begin your health journey. I look forward to working with you. This service is educational in nature and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. GLP-1 Transition Lifestyle Assessment
Weight Management — Deeper Than Willpower.
Many people struggling with weight, food cravings, constant hunger, emotional eating, or “food noise” have spent years feeling misunderstood, blamed, or dismissed.
Some have tried countless diets, restriction plans, workout programs, supplements, or medications — only to feel frustrated, exhausted, and disconnected from their bodies.
But weight struggles are often far more complex than willpower alone.
Genetics, appetite signaling, blood sugar regulation, stress hormones, metabolism, nervous system patterns, sleep quality, inflammation, ultra-processed foods, gut health, and environmental stressors may all influence how the body stores energy, regulates hunger, and responds to food. Some people may also carry genetic tendencies that influence appetite regulation, insulin sensitivity, fat storage patterns, dopamine reward signaling, metabolism, or how the brain processes hunger and satiety cues — sometimes referred to as “fat genes” or obesity-related genetic patterns. This does not mean the body is broken. And it does not mean there should be shame or blame. It means the body may require a different level of support, understanding, and strategy. For many people, GLP-1 medications have provided relief from the constant mental burden of food noise, cravings, appetite dysregulation, and weight struggles. But transitioning off these medications can sometimes feel overwhelming and emotionally confusing. Hunger signals may change. Cravings may return. Energy and digestion may shift. Weight fluctuations may create fear or discouragement. This comprehensive lifestyle-focused assessment is designed to support individuals currently using GLP-1 medications or transitioning away from them by helping them better understand the biological, metabolic, hormonal, and lifestyle factors that may be influencing their health and weight patterns. This is not a shame-based or restrictive approach. The goal is not punishment, perfection, or extreme dieting. The goal is to help rebuild trust with the body while supporting the foundational systems involved in appetite regulation, metabolism, energy production, digestion, blood sugar balance, nervous system function, and long-term wellness. This session focuses on areas that strongly influence metabolic and hormonal health, including: * blood sugar regulation and insulin balance * appetite signaling and food cravings * nervous system regulation and stress patterns * digestion and gut health * nourishment and nutrient density * hydration and mineral balance * sleep and circadian rhythm * inflammation and metabolic stress * movement and energy production * liver support and waste removal pathways * emotional and lifestyle patterns surrounding food and health Together, we will explore how these areas may be affecting: * food noise and cravings * appetite regulation * emotional eating patterns * energy and fatigue * insulin resistance and blood sugar instability * weight fluctuations * digestion and constipation * inflammation * stress and cortisol patterns * metabolic dysfunction Following the assessment, you will receive personalized lifestyle-focused recommendations designed to help create a more biologically supportive environment for long-term success and sustainability. You will also receive: * access to self-paced educational videos that explain the “why” behind each recommendation and how to implement it in everyday life * a Lifestyle Accountability Workbook * an Eat to Live Nutrition Guide * access to my private Facebook support community for ongoing encouragement, education, and accountability You do not have to navigate this journey alone. Healing and long-term change are not built through shame and pressure. They are built by understanding the body, supporting its foundational needs, and creating sustainable habits that work with your biology rather than against it. I invite you to complete the intake form below and begin your journey toward greater understanding, balance, and long-term wellness. I look forward to working with you. Follow-up Appointment
Iridology + Virtual Link Scan
See clearly. Go deeper.
Healing and lifestyle change are not one-time events. The body is constantly adapting to the environment, habits, stressors, nourishment, and support it receives over time.
Follow-up appointments are designed to help monitor progress, identify new patterns, make lifestyle adjustments, and continue building a more supportive foundation for long-term wellness.
These sessions may be scheduled at least one month after your initial assessment to allow time for the body to begin responding to lifestyle changes and new habits. Follow-up appointments are approximately 1 hour in duration and are designed to provide ongoing education, guidance, accountability, and support throughout your health journey.
This follow-up session includes an:
Iridology Assessment & Link Scan Iridology is an educational observational tool that involves analyzing the patterns, colors, and structures of the iris (the colored part of the eye) to identify potential stress, weakness, tendencies toward inflammation, nerve tone patterns, and constitutional characteristics within the body. Iridology does not diagnose disease. Instead, it may help provide insight into how the body responds to stress, where support may be needed, and how lifestyle patterns may be influencing overall function. Photos of the eyes must be submitted for review prior to the appointment. Zyto Scan The Zyto scan is a non-invasive wellness technology designed to measure the body’s galvanic skin responses to various digital stimuli related to stress, nutrition, systems balance, and overall wellness patterns. The purpose of the scan is not to diagnose or treat disease, but to help identify areas where the body may benefit from additional support and to provide another layer of insight into stress patterns, lifestyle influences, and overall balance. Many clients find this helpful because it encourages a more personalized and individualized wellness approach. Lifestyle Adjustments & Progress Review During your follow-up session, we will review: * progress with lifestyle changes and foundational habits * challenges or obstacles you may be experiencing * energy levels, digestion, sleep, stress, and overall function * changes in symptoms or patterns * blood sugar balance, appetite, cravings, and metabolic support if applicable * nervous system regulation and stress load * detox and waste removal support * adjustments that may help improve consistency and long-term sustainability Lifestyle recommendations may be updated based on your progress, goals, and current needs. You will continue to receive educational guidance, habit support, and practical strategies designed to help you better understand your body and implement realistic lifestyle changes in everyday life. Healing is often progressive and cyclical. Different systems in the body may improve at different rates depending on stress load, consistency, lifestyle patterns, and overall biological support. The goal of follow-up care is not rigid adherence — it is continued learning, adjustment, support, and creating sustainable habits that help the body function more efficiently over time. These services are educational and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. They are designed to support lifestyle awareness, foundational wellness habits, and natural health education.
